From an early age Tarek practised sports, from teaching himself to swim in the river Nile to stick fencing with his friends. As a teenager Tarek's father died due to ill health and he took on the father role for his large family of six brothers and two sisters. Tarek grew up fast after this stage in his life and became mentally and physically strong for his family, starting his first full time job at just 13-years-old helping out on a tourist diving boat in Hurghada.
Tarek fell in love with diving and after many years of leading boat trips he gained his PADI qualification in 2008.
Tarek is very concious of his own health and promotes a healthy lifestyle; daily activity, local organic unprocessed food, no smoking, no alcohol, no drugs (recreational or medical) and positive thinking.
In the future Tarek will run his own Diving Centre on the Red Sea and travel the world.
